updated version Now with new color schemes, carbon fiber landing gear mount, and one-piece heavy-duty carbon landing gear.
Based on the new, full-size aerobatic Slick 360/540 Andrew Jesky's 42" AJ Slick raises the bar for parkflyer precision/3D aircraft. Featuring all of the 3DHobbyShop construction innovations, like a pre-assembled heavy-duty motor box with pre-drilled and pre-nutted firewall, heavy-duty carbon wing spar, thumb-screw wing attachment, aluminum wheel axles and collars, latching canopy hatch with pre-installed canopy - the 42" Slick ARF will get you in the air quickly and easily. Removable wings make for easy transport while the stiff carbon wing tube withstands the very high G-loading of extreme aerobatics.
Andrew gave the Slick his personal airfoil design, which provides no-rock harrier performance AND great precision in snapping maneuvers. Stability, stability, stability is what the design provides, locking into knife-edge flight without any wandering and handling crosswind conditions better than you'll believe. All the much-loved characteristics of the 51", 71", and 89" AJ Slicks are here in this 42" version
Awesome Plane with a the OSMG -9510 motor!!!...enough said
Top notch quality airfame! this is my first AJ Slick and plan to get the 89" or 104" in the future. first thing I noticed when unboxing is the light weight airframe parts and I can tell this slick will be floaty and great for 3d! love the flat bottom fuse as well for good harrier characteristics! looking forward to getting this one in the air:) boxed nicely and great service from Pro-Rc! I'm very happy to find a 3DHS dealer in Canada:)
Set-up will be:
Omega 103g Motor
Castle Edge Lite 50ESC
Hitec HS-65MG all around (pull pull for rudder)
Graupner 12x6 E prop
1.5" Plastic Spinner (may leave off)
3s 1500-2200 Lipo
Aurora RC Genesis lighting system
and any light weight r/x I can find in the shop
I have not flown this plane yet, but the build has gone very well. the fit and finish is next to perfect. if it flies as well as it has gone together I will be very happy. I can see this is going to be my first of many 3DHS planes
thanks to pro-rc for making these planes available in Canada.
