41" Edge 540

The 41 Edge is designed to be a great first balsa aerobatic aircraft. Inexpensive but high-quality, the Edge will impress you with its simple and quick assembly, honest and forgiving flight characteristics, and extremely high performance. Offering both precision aerobatics such as loops, rolls, knife-edge flight, snap rolls of all types, and all types of spins, as well as hardcore 3D with stable upright harrier, easy inverted harrier, harrier rolling, high-alpha knife-edge, hovering and torque-rolling, the Edge does it all with just a flip of the rates switch.
Removable wings make for easy transport while the stiff carbon wing tube withstands the very high G-loading of extreme aerobatics. Spring-steel wire landing gear means a rough landing won't cause damage and won't send you home for repairs - you can keep flying and enjoying!

My Review Missing came to add more

Posted by Ron on 5th Aug 2017

Hi I was just checking back to see if my review on this plane was posted :) I hope you restock this plane some time as I would like another one too. No rush now though but a good winter project... I put an Eflite Power 10 in it and wanted to report that it flies incredibly with it! The motor being a bit bigger than a spec one would have been I had to cut 1.5" off the engine mount cage and redo the front at that length so the motor would fit inside the cowl. Using a 1800 3S the plane flies smoothly at less than 1/2 throttle and when it's wide open it really moves..like once the wheels are off the ground and I pin it it climbs like a rocket :) I was surprised it really slows down well on landings too. Just wanted to add that my motor mod worked out and is real nice to fly!

    Nice Covering!

Posted by Ron on 30th Jul 2017

The plane came right away after ordered and in good shape, no damage. The covering was perfect right out of the box! There were no instructions so I got them online and put it together mostly as just a regular plane with not too many problems. I reinforced a bit right under the canopy as the cross braces were just hanging on by a thread and used ball link hardware. The wheels that came with it were Lime Green? No matter painted them black also there were no decals in the box like in the picture online. Haven't got to maiden it yet just finished tonight. I had an Eflite Power 10 that I had to end up cutting about 1.25" off the motor cage and rebuilt to fit this motor...Got it all in there and balanced fine at 65mm My setup Eflite Power 10 APC 11x5.5 Spektrum AR 6210 with Satellite RX ZTW Mantis 45 Amp ESC 1800 3S Lipo Hope it flies ok with my motor mod. Great quick delivery as I say from Pro-RC!

    Perfect

Posted by ed on 5th Oct 2015

Everything was perfect : packaging - quality build - super light. and price competitive with less quality planes. It hasn't flown yet, but it will this weekend. I'm very confident its a keeper. If and when it meets the gophers - I'll buy another.

    3DHS Edge 540E 41" FANTASTIC

Posted by Henry on 8th May 2014

This little edge is a blast. NOTE: My setup used: -Omega 103 -CC 50amp Phoenix Edge ESC @ 6volts Savox SH0254 & 0255 in tail APC 12 x 6 Turnigy ASpec 1800 or 2200mah 3s lipo To offset the extra weight of the heavier Elv & Rudder servos versus HS65MG (4-5gm each)I had to use the Omega 103 instead of the 72.

    41" 3dhs Edge

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Mar 2014

its the middle of winter, so I haven't flown yet, but this is prolly one of the easiest arf's to put together. be careful on the covering, I didn't have the correct heat gun and shrunk the covering a bit too much. I bough 4 Savox 0255mg and they are a direct fit, no trimming required. Looking forward to flying this excellent plane!
